Birdsview, WA – Jason Becktel, the man accused of shooting and killing 47-year old Allen Kesterson during an argument at a New Years Party in Birdsview in 2015, has been found Guilty of Second-Degree Murder.
Mr. Becktel had previously been charged with premeditated murder, but a Jury found him guilty of the lesser charge after a two-week trial in Skagit County Superior Court.
Sentencing for Mr. Becktel is scheduled for April 10th, 2017. He is looking at the possibility of life in prison.
