Mount Vernon, Washington – The Mount Vernon Police Department is seeking information on a robbery suspect in an incident that occurred on October 17th, 2016.
According to a press release from Lieutenant Greg Booth with the Mount Vernon Police Department, on October 17th, 2016 at approximately 5:40 am, a man was exiting the Chevron Mini-Mart located in the 2200 block of E. College Way when a male asked him for a ride. The victim agreed to give the man a ride, a while driving towards I-5 on College Way, the suspect pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded all his money.
The suspect then ordered the victim to take him to several locations in Mount Vernon, after which he let the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect then left in the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered in the 1800 block of East College Way.
The suspect is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, in his mid to late 20’s. He is believed to be approximately 5′ 4″ tall, wearing a black hoodie or jacket with a white logo on the upper left chest. The suspect spoke in Spanish.
