BURLINGTON, WA – The death of a man found on Old Highway 99 just north of Burlington is under investigation by the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
Burlington Police and Firefighters were called to the scene near North Hill Blvd. at 7:25 a.m. Saturday when a motorist reported seeing a person who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and was laying on the side of the road. Officials found the person in the ditch alongside Old Highway 99 and they say he was cold to the tough and wasn’t breathing.
With the incident occurring just north of Burlington’s city limits, the accident was investigated by Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies, who say the unidentified man appeared to be in his 20’s.
