Birdstock started nine years ago when Birdsview Brewery wanted to give back to the local, volunteer Fire Department. It has now become the Fire Departments biggest fundraiser each year.
There is a lot of behind the scenes work that both the brewery and Fire Department do. Ordering enough food and making enough beer ahead of time are just the two major items on the list.
This year was unique because the Birdsview Fire Department were called out on a lot of emergency calls, more than in the past. Luckily, they had family at the event to help when they Needed to leave. Donations brought in totaled over $4,000!!
The bands all donated their time for the benefit also. Here are some small video clips of each band in the lineup. Though the lineup changes a bit from year to year, this year featured four bands that had played at Birdstock before.
