Mount Vernon, WA – The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported “alcohol problem” in the 15000 block of Best Road around 10:19 pm on January 10th, 2020.

According to witnesses, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the address  and reportedly found some teens hanging out and listening to music.  Deputies did not see anyone drinking or any alcohol anywhere, so the teens were allowed to continue to hang out.

Skagit 9-1-1 dispatchers reportedly received a call to the area of State Route 20 and Best Road just before midnight for a reported stabbing victim.  Witnesses  told SkagitBreaking.com that some groups of kids had shown up at the get together and they were from “different groups.” An  argument is reported to have started and one teen stabbed another teen.

Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital.  Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted parents of the underage teens at the residence and had the parents come and  pick up their teens from the house.

The condition of the victim is unknown. It is unknown if the stabbing suspect has been taken into custody.

This is a developing story and additional details will be released as they become available from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
