Skagit County Nursing Assistant License Suspended on Charges of Sexual Contact

Skagit County, WA – A Skagit County Certified Nursing Assistant who was arrested in May of 2019 and accused of raping and sexually assaulting up to thirteen elderly resident between the ages of 67 and 99-years old at the San Juan Rehabilitation Center in Anacortes  has had his Certified Nursing Assistant  license suspended by the Department of Health pending further legal action.

Willie O. Lawton has been criminally charged in Skagit County Superior Court with second-degree rape of a frail elder or vulnerable adult, a class A Felon; indecent liberties of a frail elder or vulnerable adult, a class B felon, and two-counts of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation, a gross misdemeanor.

Lawton cannot practice as a nursing assistant in Washington until the charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to the charges and to request a hearing.
