Sedro-Woolley, WA – The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary in progress around 6:04 a.m. in the 27000 block of Hoehn Road on Monday, July 15th, 2019.
According to a release from Undersheriff Chad Clark, the caller said that he was watching a live video feed of his family home on Hoehn Road and could see a truck backed in near storage containers and two males breaking into the containers.
Deputies met the caller at the residence and the suspects had already left the scene. Surveillance Cameras provided Deputies with a license plate number that came back registered to a person that lived in the area.
Deputies did not locate the suspects at the residence that returned to the license plate number, but did find some of the stolen items at the residence. As Deputies were leaving, the truck suspected in the Burglary pulled into the area and Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Two males in the truck that matched the description of the suspects in the surveillance video were taken into custody and arrested. The other stolen items were recovered from the truck.
Undersheriff Chad Clark Said “Great example of a video system that shows you through your phone of what is happening in real time. Great teamwork with one of our citizens once again.”
