Mount Vernon, WA – In April, seven students from Mount Vernon High School placed in the top ten at the Washington State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) conference. From June 27 – July 3, two of these students advanced to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, TX.
Yuva Belarbia (Health Care Administration)
Grayson Parker (Emerging Business Issues)
These students spent countless hours studying, rehearsing presentations, and perfecting their work. With over 13,000 in attendance, the students were able to compete against the top students from around the United States and five other countries/territories.
Outside of competitive events, students were able to visit historical and education locations such as the Alamo Battlefield. Students also participated in leadership and development workshops offered by industry experts.
Thank you to those who supported these students in their endeavor, especially State Farm Insurance (with Brad Methner), Blade Chevrolet, and MVHS DECA for making this experience a success!
