Bellingham, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a single truck and four parked vehicles around 2:25 am on May 25th, 2019.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 25-year old Joshua Oudman of Sedro-Woolley was traveling Southbound in the 2300 block of Yew Street at a high rate of speed in a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 when he lost control of his truck.
Troopers say Oudman failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway and struck a parked 1997 Saturn SL1 and a parked 2009 Honda Fit before his truck struck a tree. The unoccupied Honda Fit then struck a 1987 Toyota Pickup and a 1989 Toyota pickup that were both also parked and unoccupied.
Troopers say Oudman is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers and Skagit County Support Officers notified next of kin of his passing.
The Dodge Ram Pickup, the Saturn and the Honda fit were totaled in the crash and impounded to ASAP Towing for safe keeping.
The cause of the crash is listed as Speed and Alcohol.
According to Josh’s social media pages he grew up in Sedro-Woolley, attended Sedro-Woolley High School and has worked at various local businesses including Les Schwab Tire Centers, Rallye Auto Sales, Brinderson, KCPK Trucking and Conoco Phillips Refinery.
