Woman Airlifted from Crosby Road Crash in Oak Harbor

Oak Harbor, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Crosby Road in Oak Harbor around 9:47 p.m. on May 9th, 2019.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 49-year old Samantha N Faucher of Oak Harbor was traveling Westbound on Crosby Road  in a red 2000 Ford Mustang.

Troopers say Faucher appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck a large generator.  She was injured and airlifted to Harborview medical Center in Seattle.

A passenger in her vehicle, 48-year old Dana Fuller of Monmouth, IL was injured and transported to Whidbey General Hospital for treatment.

Troopers say the cause of the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against Faucher.

The vehicle was impounded as evidence to the Washington State Patrol bullpen in Burlington.
