Skagit Valley College Drama Department presents, Shakespeare’s histories with Richard II

Journey to 14th Century England as the Skagit Valley College Drama Department continues slashing through Shakespeare’s histories with Richard II, the usurped king from the House of Lancaster. Richard II is a regal and stately tyrant, taxing his subjects and spending to extravagance. Detached from his people and hated by his court, he is remembered as the king with the Hollow Crown, after being usurped by Henry IV. Power, war, and plotting drive the narrative of this epic.
