Island County, WA – Deputies from the Island County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a domestic disturbance over a child custody exchange on South Whidbey Island around 3:30 p.m. on January 11th, 2019.
According to a press memo from the Island County Sheriff’s Office, prior to the arrival of Law Enforcement, 42-year old John Meadows of Greenbank fled the scene with 31-year old Natasha Blouin of Freeland and their infant.
Deputies say at some point, Meadows shot and killed Blouin, then a short time later, shot and killed himself at a location outside of Freeland. The infant was unharmed and safe.
Deputies continue to investigate the incident.
