City of Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan Update – Request for Public Input

Share

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOUNT VERNON – The City of Mount Vernon is updating the Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan, and Mayor Jill Boudreau and Mount Vernon Parks and Enrichment Services Director William King are seeking your input.

A quick, 10 minute survey has been created as a way for you to help guide the Department, and the City, in future decision making.  Participant responses will remain confidential, and are an opportunity for community members to express their opinions about Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation facilities, programs, and events.

In addition, there are two community open houses scheduled at Hillcrest Park Lodge in Mount Vernon:

  • Thursday, January 24th from 6pm to 8pm
  • Saturday, February 23rd from 10am to Noon

These open houses will be an opportunity for the public to share their valuable input.  At the open houses we well give an overview of the comprehensive plan update process, and participants will be able to comment on the many aspects of the plan including parks, trails, facilities, recreation programs and special events.

We encourage the entire community to please take the survey, attend an open house and help plan the future of our City parks!

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mvparks         Or on the City’s web site at www.mountvernonwa.gov/parks
