Ferndale Man Injured in Crash Near Alger

Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash on Northbound I-5 near milepost 240 in Alger around 11:22 p.m. on December 18th, 2018. 

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 27-year old William Elfo of Ferndale was traveling Northbound on I-5 in a white 2002 Subaru Legacy when he drove into the median. Troopers say ELFO attempted to drive out of the median, causing the vehicle to roll back across lanes one and two of Northbound I-5.  The vehicle came to rest in the gore point to the Alger exit. 

Troopers say ELFO was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.  The vehicle was totaled and impounded to Joes Towing for safe keeping. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are pending against the driver.
