CAPTURED: Anacortes Robbery Suspect in Custody

Anacortes, WA – The Anacortes Police Department has located the Robbery Suspect they were looking for in reference to the robbery reported   in the 900 block of 11th street around 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 7th, 2018.

According to a NIXLE release from the Anacortes Police Department, Officers want to thank everyone who reached out to APD in reference to the robbery incident. The suspect is now in custody and there is no need to contact Law Enforcement in reference to this case.

Anacortes, WA- Officers with the Anacortes Police Department responded to reports of a robbery outside a grocery store in the 900 block of 11th Street just before 6:00 a.m. on October 7th, 2018.
According to a NIXLE press release from the Anacortes Police Department, investigators on scene learned that two men were speaking casually outside the store for several minutes when the victim, a man in a wheelchair, attempted to leave. The suspect pulled the man’s fanny pack off, pulling him from his wheelchair in the process. The suspect then ran southbound along Q Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the man. The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The suspect is described as a tall, slender, dark-skinned male in his 20’s with dark facial hair. He was wearing a dark beanie, a dark-colored hoodie with “CAL” printed on the front, dark pants and white athletic shoes.
