King County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on Eastbound State Route 518 around 2:17 a.m. on October 7th, 2018.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a white, 2004 Nissan Titan Pickup was traveling Eastbound On State Route 518 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the Roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The Vehicle then rotated and struck a concrete bridge pillar before coming to rest behind the guardrail. The driver of the truck was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the right shoulder. He was identified by Troopers as 22-year old Jesse Tenorio of Kent, Washington. Four additional passengers in the vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. They were identified by the King County Medical Examiner as 22-year old Singh Myron, 22-year old Anthony Perez, 21-year old Luis Perez and 18-year old Juan Carrasco-Rodriguez. All four victims died from Blunt Force Injuries and their deaths were ruled an accident by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Seattle Times reported TENORIO, the 22-year old driver, who was ejected from the crash and survived had been previously arrested for DUI and reckless endangerment in October of 2017. He pleaded guilty in May of 2018 to Reckless Endangerment in Kent Municipal Court. He was ordered not to consume alcohol or use any drugs, including marijuana, for two years. He has been sentenced to jail time twice for violating the conditions of his suspended sentence.
After being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, TENORIO was booked into the King County Jail for four counts of vehicular Homicide.
In a press memo seeking witnesses to the crash Troopers say they secured the scene and Criminal Investigation Detectives responded to include Detectives from the Major Accident Investigation Team. Through their investigation at the scene as well as statements from individuals that drove up on the scene, detectives determined that TENORIO was the driver of the vehicle.
Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking any witnesses or information in reference to this vehicle prior to the collision.
