Two Teens Killed in Crash Near Darrington

Snohomish County, WA – According to information released by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, two teens were killed in a crash today, just before 3:00 PM. The crash occurred near Clear Creek Road and Mountain Loop Highway in Darrington.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a passenger vehicle that had crashed into a large piece of construction equipment parked on the side of the road. The driver, a 19-year-old male from Aberdeen, and the passenger, a 17-year-old male from Darrington, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is currently investigating the cause of the collision and believe that speed may have been a factor. No other vehicles were involved. The road will remain closed while CIU is investigating.
