Washington State Patrol Detectives Seeking Witnesses to Fatal Semi-Truck Collision

According to a press release from Trooper Heather Axtman of the Washington State Patrol, detectives are seeking witnesses to a fatal semi-truck collision.

The release states that WSP’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating a five-vehicle, one semi-truck fatality collision that occurred at approximately 11:30PM on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

A disabled vehicle was first reported on southbound I-5 on the outside shoulder over the Snohomish River Bridge (milepost 195), which was then followed by reports of a three car collision. Shortly after the first collision occurred, a second collision occurred involving the vehicles from the first collision and the semi-truck. The driver in one of the passenger vehicles was fatally injured.

MAIT detectives are examining all aspects that led to this collision and are seeking additional witnesses that may have information surrounding this tragic collision.
