Skagit County, Washington– On April 28th, 2016 an Oak Harbor man was arrested in Skagit County by Skagit Multi-Agency Response (S.M.A.R.T) Team Detectives for investigation of multiple sex related charges after attempting to meet and pay $50.00 to what he believed to be a 14-Year old teen for sex.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by SkagitBreaking.com the man had communicated with the “teen” on several occasion over a six day period and agreed to meet the teen and pay the teen $50 for sexual intercourse.
Around 11:35 am on April 28th, the man arrived at the predetermined location and was arrested by S.M.A.R.T detectives.
The man admitted to arriving to have sex with a person he believed to be 14-years old and he had condoms, “Mikes” Alcohol for the teen and $50.00 in his possession.
The man was booked into the Skagit County Jail for Charges of Attempted Rape of a Child in the 3rd degree, Sexual Exploitation of a minor, Communication with a minor for Immoral Purposes, Patronizing Juvenile Prostitution and Furnishing Liquor to a Minor. He is currently being held in lieu of $25,000 bond/bail.
