DECEPTION PASS, WA– On the night of February 21st, 2016, Deputies noticed a suspicious car parked in the parking lot of the Deception Pass Bridge.
A Sheriff’s Deputy approached the car and found a woman, later identified as 33-year old Jamie M. Wright of Marysville sitting on a teen boys lap in the passenger seat. The teen is not being named because he is a minor and has only been identified as a 16-years old male from Anacortes. Deputies said both the teen and the woman were clothed but deputies noticed a hickey on the teen boys neck.
Deputies contacted the 16 year old teen boys mother, who believed her son was at home in bed. Further investigation revealed that the woman was the teens, drug and alcohol counselor from Catholic Community Services in Burlington.
Deputies seized three cell phones. One cell phone was the teens and two cell phones from the woman, which included one from her employer. After obtaining a search warrant, the detectives investigation revealed information from the phones that a sexual relationship between the two had been ongoing for several months.
The woman was booked into Island County jail for investigation of immoral communication with a minor and later released pending further investigation. The teen was turned over to his mother.
The woman is said to no longer be associated with Catholic Community Services.
On February 26th, 2016 Jamie M. Wright became the respondent in a summons and petition for legal separation in Snohomish County Superior Court.
