Sedro-Woolley, WA – A 20-year old Sedro-Woolley man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 7-year old child multiple times over the course of a five month span.
According to probable cause court documents, the 20-year old started staying with family members in their Mount Vernon home around October of 2017.
A seven-year old child in the home reported to an adult in August of 2018 that she didn’t want to be a girly girl anymore and didn’t want to have sex with boys anymore. When the adult questioned the child about why she should would say anything like that, the adult learned that the Sedro-Woolley man had allegedly been sexually assaulting the girl nearly every day since he moved in with the family, until he was kicked out of the home in April of 2018.
Skagit County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were notified and a forensic child interviewer interviewed the child. Information obtained during the interview, led to the arrest of the 20-year old Sedro-Woolley man.
The man is currently being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center in lieu of $250,000.00 bail on an INVESTIGATIVE HOLD for Two counts of Rape of a Child in the 1st Degree.
