Spokane, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and Semi Truck around 3:53 p.m. on July 17th, 2018.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 75-year old Dennis Lingg of Spokane Valley was traveling Westbound on Trent Road attempting to turn North from Lane two into a private parking lot in a 2014 Peterbuilt Tractor and trailer.

Troopers say he failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of a Green 20000 Suzuki VL1500 motorcycle being driven Westbound on Trent Road by 65-year old Michael Arnold of Post Falls, Idaho. Mr. Arnold died as a result of the collision.

Troopers say the motorcycle was totaled and impounded for safe keeping to Rouses Valley Towing. The Tractor and Trailer were driven from the scene.

Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the crash and Troopers say the cause of the crash was Mr. Lingg failing to yield the right of way to the motorcycle. He faces charges Failing to Yield Right of Way.
