Swinomish Police Arrest Violent Offender Featured on Washington’s Most Wanted

Skagit County, WA- On July 3rd, 2018, around 7:00 a.m.,  Swinomish Police Officers were performing a routine check of the parking lot of the Swinomish Casino when they found a stolen vehicle.

Swinomish Police Officers, C. Pilcher and D. Lord contacted a couple of people who were  walking away from the vehicle. The male subject provided a false name to the Officers, but they were able to utilize tattoos and other identifying marks to ascertain his actual identity.  The male was positively Identified as Didier E. Perez-Rodriguez, a Skagit County man wanted in connection with several crimes in Snohomish County.

In March of 2018, The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force asked for the public’s help to find Perez-Rodriguez when he didn’t show up for court. He had been  charged with being an Illegal Alien in Possession of a Firearm, Identity Theft 2nd Degree and Driving Under the Influence in the Mount Vernon area.

Perez-Rodriguez was turned over to the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force and booked into the Snohomish County Jail. The woman he was with was booked into the Skagit County Jail. The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner in Burlington.
