Share

Mount Vernon, WA – The Washington Department of Ecology has issued an advisory for water contact at Bay View State Park, due to high levels of fecal bacteria in the water. The Department of Ecology plans to re-sample the water this week to see if bacterial levels have dropped to safe levels.

Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections, and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.
