Swinomish Police Arrest Two For Controlled Substance Homicide

Swinomish, WA– The Swinomish Police Department has taken two subject into custody and booked them into the Skagit County Community Justice Center on an “Investigative Hold” for  Controlled Substance Homicide.

In Washington State, a person can be charged with homicide if you give someone else a particular drug-legal or illegal-and they die as a result of using that drug. The crime is called “Controlled Substance Homicide.”

On May 11th, 2018 at 4:23 p.m.  the Swinomish Police Department posted on their Official Facebook Page “We have received unconfirmed reports of multiple fatal overdoses throughout Skagit County today due to a load of counterfeit pills in the area. If you have any information please contact us!”

According to online Skagit County Jail Roster Information, Swinomish Police Officers took two subjects into custody in the 100 block of E. Sharon Avenue around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12th, 2018.

Milagros Encarnacion and Michelle E. Martinez are being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center  on an INVESTIGATIVE HOLD  for one count each of  Violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA), Counterfeit Substance Schedule I/II/III and Controlled Substance Homicide.
