Canadian Woman Dies in Vehicle Crash in Blaine

Whatcom County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 543 just South of H Street in the City of Blaine around 4:27 p.m. on May 13th, 2018.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 56-year old Tupou Dyck of Richmond, B.C. was traveling Northbound on State Route 543 in a 2016 Honda Accord when her vehicle crossed the center line and was struck head-on by a Freightliner Tractor being driven by 51-year old Jagjit Dosanjh of Surrey, B.C.

The woman died as a result of the collision. Mr. Dosanjh was not injured in the crash.  Both Driver wore their seat belts.

The Freightliner was towed by Johnson’s Towing for safe keeping and the Honda Accord was towed by Blaine Towing.

Troopers say it is too early to tell if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.  The Cause remains under investigation.

No Charges are expected in the crash.
