Mount Vernon, WA– The Mount Vernon Downtown Association has announced a wonderful opportunity for young artists, ages 15 and younger to have their art shown at the Mount Vernon Children’s Art Walk on May 5th, 2018.
All Artists ages 15 and younger are invited to submit one work of art for exhibition during the Mount Vernon Downtown Association Children’s Art Walk on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. in downtown Mount Vernon.
Young Artists are encouraged to drop off one piece of art during business hours at one of the two following locations in downtown Mount Vernon. Kids Stuff, located at 408 S. 1st Street or Skagit Running Company, located at 724 S. 1st Street. The art needs to be submitted with the following information attached; Title of Artwork, medium, first name of artist, age and inspiration or comments about creating the art (optional).
The Children’s Artwork will then be featured at downtown businesses including Skagit Running Company, Kids Stuff, Sprouts Closing, Catholic Community Services Farmworker Center, PAVE Jewelry & Design and in the display windows of several downtown businesses. Merit awards will be presented in the following age categories: 4-6, 7-10, and 11-15.
The Event is being sponsored by SaviBank and the Skagit Valley Food Co-op. The Mount Vernon Downtown Association is producing the event.
Additional First Saturday Art Walks are scheduled for June 2, July 7, August 4 and September 1st.
