Mount Vernon Police Respond to Weapons Offense

Mount Vernon, WA – Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired near the 1500 Block of North 26th Street in Mount Vernon. This incident occurred on March 29, 2018 at about 10:54 pm.

The investigation revealed that there was an altercation between a male who was walking, and subjects in a vehicle. Using a handgun, the male fired multiple shots toward the vehicle, which then fled northbound on North 26th Street to College Way.

There were no reports of injury or damage to any property. Those involved in the incident have not yet been identified. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
