Woman Dies In Sedro-Woolley House Fire

Sedro-Woolley, WA – The Sedro-Woolley Fire Department and Skagit County Fire District 8 responded to a structure fire in the 1000 block of Sterling Street at 1:04 a.m. on March 28th, 2018.

Arriving fire units found heavy fire and smoke coming from the residence and firefighters made entry into the building and pulled a woman from the home. First responders initiated life saving efforts on the woman but she died at the scene.

Sedro-Woolley Police said the Fire appeared to have started in the Kitchen but the fire Marshal would determine the specific cause of the fire during their fire investigation.

The Skagit County Coroner recovered the body of the victim and would determine the cause and manner of death as well as release the identification of the victim after next of kin had been notified.
