Mount Vernon Graduate Named Skagit Valley College Baseball Coach

Mount Vernon, WA – Shane Servoss has been named the Interim Head Coach of the Skagit Valley College Baseball Team.  Currently Servoss is the Assistant Coach and will lead the team through the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Servoss is a 2012 graduate of the Mount Vernon High School where he played baseball.  He played second base at Skagit Valley College from 2012 until 2014.

“Shane brings an exceptional set of skills and experience that will greatly benefit the baseball program at Skagit Valley College,” Athletic Directors Steve Epperson said in a news release.

Servoss is a graduate of Washington State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Management.

Servoss replaces Braden Wells who has served as the Cardinal’s Head Coach since 2016. “Braden stepped in as head coach and continued the success of our program and we wish him well as he moves on in his career,” wrote Epperson.

The Cardinals, who finished 3rd place in the NWAC Northern Division in 2017, open their regular league season on March 31st.
