Hit and Run Driver Injures Seattle Man In Marysville

Marysville, WA – The Washington State responded to a serious injury hit and run crash on the 4th Street on ramp to Southbound I-5 around 6:59 a.m. on January 18th, 2018.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 55-year old Melvin Dye of Seattle was walking Southbound in Lane one of the on ramp to Southbound I-5 from 4th Street in Marysville when he was struck by an unidentified white Dodge Pickup.  Mr. DYE was thrown onto the fog line where he was unresponsive.  The hit and run driver continued Southbound on I-5.

Mr. DYE was injured and transported to Providence Hospital for treatment.  Troopers are seeking information on the driver of the white Dodge Pickup.

The cause of the crash is listed as Pedestrian Walking in Lane of Travel. Charges are possible against the hit and run driver.
