Mount Vernon, WA – A 39-year old Tacoma man has been booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center for 1st Degree Child Rape after an 11-year old girl reported the man had sexually assaulted her on several occasions in 2013 in his Mount Vernon home.
According to court documents obtained by SkagitBreaking.com through a public information request, the man was known to the girl and was trusted to be alone with the man on several occasions in 2013 when the assaults occurred. The girl recently told her brother what happened and her brother was able to get her to tell her mother and police.
Mount Vernon Detectives were unable to track down the man as he did not have a permanent residence but they put out a warrant for his arrest.
Officers in Tacoma arrested the man on unrelated charges and he was transferred to Mount Vernon to face the Child Rape Charges.
The man is currently being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center on a FELONY WARRANT ARREST for two counts of Rape of a Child 1st. He is being held in Lieu of $50,000 bail.
