Kittitas County, WA– The Washington State Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash on Westbound I-90 near exit 70 around 8:24 a.m. on August 11th, 2017.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 48-year old Jody Orona of Vancouver was stopped in traffic on WB I-90 in a 2015 Volvo Tractor with Two trailers.
The press memo states 78-year old Brenda Ormond of Snohomish, also Westbound on I-90 in a maroon 2011 Ford Flex, swerved to the right and collided with the Tractor trailer. She was injured and transported by medics to Kittitas Valley Healthcare. A passenger in her vehicle, 86-year old Lee Ormond, also of Snohomish was injured and transported by medics to Kittitas Valley Healthcare.
Their Ford Flex was impounded by Easton Towing for safekeeping. The Tractor and trailer sustained reportable damage but was driven from the scene.
The cause of the crash is listed as Lane Travel. Driver one was cited with a lane travel violation. Drugs or Alcohol were not a factor in the collision.
