Troopers Seek Witnesses to Garbage Truck/Box Truck Crash

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury crash involving a box truck and a garbage truck on State Route 9 at 233rd Place Southeast in Snohomish County.

According to a press memo from Trooper Mark Francis, 48-year old Henry Freeman of Bothell was traveling Southbound on State Route 9, approaching 233rd Place Southeast in a 2005 W3500 Box Truck when he crossed the centerline and struck a stopped Waste Management Truck head-on.  The box truck was preparing to make a left turn and was  being driven by 46-year old Jeremy Hettinga of Monroe.

Both drivers were injured and transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Troopers are seeking additional witnesses to the actual collision or any events leading up to or after the crash.
