Pedestrian Hit By Car in Burlington Airlifted to Harborview


Burlington, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash around 12:35 p.m. on March 23rd, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 63-year old Cheryl Barnett of Burlington was backing her blue 2005 Toyota Camry out of a driveway in the 12000 block of Bayhill Drive when she struck a pedestrian who was walking in front of the driveway.

Troopers say  the pedestrian, identified as 66-Year old Darrell Wiseman of Burlington,  was injured when the vehicle struck him and  backed over his Torso.  Mr. Wiseman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where his condition is unknown.

The cause of the accident is listed as inattention and unsafe backing. Charges are not expected in the incident.
