Sedro Woolley, WA – A Sedro Woolley Police Officer was contacted by a 48-year old male on January 2nd, 2017.
The male believed the Officer was a 14-year old female and the unidentified male sent the Officer unsolicited pictures and messages of himself according to a release on the Sedro Woolley Police Department Facebook page.
The investigation was handed over to Sedro-Woolley Detectives on January 3rd, 2017. The male again initiated contact with the Detective, who he thought was a 14-year old teen.
Detectives messaged the man back and reminded him the profile he was messaging was a 14-year old female. The male again sent detectives explicit messages, pictures and videos of himself.
The subject then requested to meet with the teen. Instead of a 14-year old female, the subject was greeted and arrested by Detectives and Officers from the Sedro-Woolley Police Department.
The man is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail on an investigative hold pending charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
