Anacortes Man Arrested for Seeking Sex with 14-Year Old Teen

Skagit County, Washington- An Anacortes Man was arrested on April 27th, 2016 by detectives from the Skagit Multi-Agency Response  (S.M.A.R.T) Team for seeking sex with a 14-Year Old Teen.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by SkagitBreaking.com the Anacortes man had searched an online website, looking for ads from people wanting to hook up and meet to have sex. The man, via email,  agreed to meet and pay $50.00 to have sex with an undercover officer,  posing as a  14-Year old teen girl.

The man, also via email with the undercover detectives,  had negotiated fees of $50.00 for an hour of sex and and additional  $50.00 for specific sexual acts to be performed by the 14-year old girl at a predetermined location in Skagit County.

When the man arrived at the predetermined location, he was was taken into custody by S.M.A.R.T Detectives. The Detectives  found $100.00 cash on the man and three condoms.

According to the probable cause affidavit, The man told detectives that he had searched the website, responded to the ad, “talked the talk” via email, and made arrangements to meet because he wanted to talk to the girl about Jesus. He also told detectives that he intended on giving the girl the original $50.00 they agreed on and then an additional $50.00 for her time spent talking with him about Jesus.

The man was booked into the Skagit County Jail for Investigation  of Rape of a Child 3rd Degree, Communications with a Minor for Immoral Purposes, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Patronizing Juvenile Prostitution. He was released from Jail on April 29th  after posting $20,000 bail bond.
